Where does Pair of Hearts travel?
We document weddings within the Philadelphia Metro Area, including Southern New Jersey, South Eastern Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. We also travel to Northern New Jersey/New York Metro Area, but an additional fee may apply.
Six hours does not seem like enough time. Can I add more hours of coverage?
Yes, you may add one or two additional hours on for an additional fee. If your wedding celebration requires more than eight hours of coverage, this is not the studio for you.
Typically, wedding celebrations involving one or two locations can be filmed within the six to eight hour range (note that this all depends on venue proximity and your actual wedding day timeline). Weddings with more than three locations are not a good fit for Pair of Hearts simply because of the travel time required to get to and from each location, and due to the unfortunate reality that a single cinematographer cannot be in two places at one time.
Have questions about whether you can reasonably expect that multiple locations and your timeline will fit within our 6-8 hour timeframe? Fear not – we’ll address this in our initial consultation, before booking.
Well, based on the above answer, can I add another cinematographer?
Unfortunately, the answer to this question is no. Adding another cinematographer would significantly increase the cost of our Pair of Hearts productions.
What if I’d like to explore more options, such as a team of two cinematographers or a longer film?
You’re in luck! Pair of Hearts is the little sister of Be Films, a studio that offers countless options for your wedding cinematography needs, including teams of two or three cinematographers and travel to all sorts of destinations. Aside from offering up to twelve hours of wedding day coverage, Be Films even offers multi-day shoots. Be Films also offers trailers, save-the-date films, engagement films, and feature films.
Will you film family formals & cocktail hour?
Pair of Hearts does not film the formal family portrait session or cocktail hour. Why, you might ask? Well, as you know, one person can only be in one place at any given time, so your cinematographer will likely be busy breaking down and/or setting up gear during these times. Additionally, your cinematographer will be carrying out the important tasks of capturing the details of your reception (before any guests have had a chance to enter or disrupt the room), and setting up audio (so s/he can capture all of the wonderful things that will be said about you in the toasts made during the reception). We’ve also found that by refraining from filming the family formals, we give photographers the ability to move more efficiently through their shot lists, and we avoid confusing guests who may be tempted to smile for our DSLR cameras, instead of giving your photographer their full attention.
What kind of music will be featured in my Highlight?
Pair of Hearts respects and values the work of other artists, so we utilize music that we license from sources like Music Bed and SongFreedom. We aren’t in the business of copyright infringement, so we don’t use songs that we can’t license. This is beneficial to you because your Highlight will be unique, and most importantly, you’ll be able to share it online with family and friends.
